Japan's Fujiwara wins Tokyo marathon

TOKYO, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Japan's Masakazu Fujiwara pulled away with around two kilometers remaining to win the men's race at a rain- swept Tokyo marathon on Sunday.

Fujiwara clocked two hours, 12 minutes, 19 seconds for the title. Compatriot Arata Fujiwara came home in second place in 2:12:34, just ahead of Atsushi Sato, who clocked 2:12:35 in Fendi Replica Handbags the race which serves as a qualifier for Japanese runners for a place at the Asian Games in Guangzhou, China in November.
